IDOT US 30 Reconstruction Between I-55 and IL-59

Milhouse’’was— retained— to— perform— Phase— III— construction management services for US Route 30 between IL 59 and I-55 in Plainfield, Illinois.— The existing road was a two-lane, two-way cross-section with left turn lanes only at the signalized intersection with Renwick Road.

The project involved widening and reconstructing to a three-lane cross-section between IL 59 and Renwick Road, as well as a four-lane cross-section with striped median between Renwick Road and I-55. The project also included widening and reconstructing the northbound and southbound exit ramps from I-55 onto US 30.— The ramps were widened at the US 30 termini to provide for dual left-turn lanes and exclusive right-turn lanes off of both ramps.

Milhouse was responsible for daily on-site inspection and documentation; contract change management;— third-party coordination; public communication; erosion control inspection; materials quality assurance; and record drawing preparation.
