Taxiway —V— Bypass Design and Construction- Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport
The Taxiway —V— Bypass design project will enable access to ramp 1N and reduce operational impacts on taxiway —V— during construction on the Concourse T North Extension. The proposed bypass will provide a new alignment for taxiing aircraft and prevent closures of taxiway —V.’
The project scope includes these major components:
- Geometric design — based upon Taxiway Victor Bypass Project Definition Report and pavement areas in the vicinity of this project as identified by the Taxiway Pavement Replacement 2019 project
- Drainage modifications — modification to the existing storm water systems in the adjacent infield area of taxiways —F— and —E’
- Airfield electrical improvement — extend casing of an existing 16-inch fuel line located beneath proposed bypass taxiway
- Pavement sections — pavement sections to be designed/constructed utilizing the DOA standard pavement section
- Construction phasing

- Airfield electrical quality assurance — reviewing airfield electrical design, participating in stop & plots and Bluebeam sessions, and maintaining documentation of review
- Airfield support — demolition plans/details and airfield marking plans/details
